Collection of Information:
The Child Development Web, LLC is the sole owner of the information obtained on The Child Development Web, LLC. The Child Development Web, LLC collects information from our users at several points at our Web site.

• Refer-A-Friend:
To refer a friend to our site we require the visitor to enter the Friend's name, friend's email and the referer's name. We do not store this information and only use it to generate a one-time email sent to the friend being referred.

• Mailing List:
At the 'Milestones' page, we ask that users join our mailing list by providing their email address after the first free trial of obtaining skill descriptions. We use this information to contact the user about features on our site, special promotions and to send our newsletter. In each mailing, the user may have the option to 'unsubscribe' from our mailing list.

• Site Submission:
To submit a web site to our Search Engine listings, we require the site contact to provide contact and site information. Visitors submitting their site for approval to be listed will be entered into our mailing list and receive email confirmation of information submitted.

Use of Information:
  We use information solely for mailings from our site; We do not share or sell your information to third parties.

Cookies:
A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's computer tied to information about the user. We use both session ID cookies and persistent cookies. For the session ID cookie, once users close the browser, the cookie simply terminates. A persistent cookie is a small text file stored on the user's hard drive for an extended period of time. • Special Offers and Updates: Subscribers will occassionally receive information on merchant specials, new site features and our newsletter.

• Newsletter: If visitor is required to subscribe to our newsletter for use of a paricular site feature, we ask that user for contact information such as email address. Out of respect to our visitor's privacy we provide a way to opt out of these communications in each mailing.
